Hollywood Hills, The King of Celebrity Enclaves
Celebrities have many options on where to spend their millions for their residences - Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Bel-Air, Holmby Hills, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Toluca Lake - but the Hollywood Hills have more celebrities per square mile than any other celebrity enclave. Why is this?
The Views: No other celebrity enclave offers truly unobstructed views of Los Angeles. On a clear day many of the celebrities nestled in the hills can see downtown, Silverlake, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Century City, Culver City, and on a clear day the Pacific Ocean. The neighborhoods west of Hollywood have their perks but the others just don't compare when it comes to viewing the massive megalopolis.
Architectural Wonders: It makes sense that artists want to reside amongst architectural masterpieces. The Hollywood Hills leads the other celebrity enclaves when it comes to the number and variety of museum worthy residences. Whether it's Frank Loyd Wright's Storer House, John Lautner's Chemosphere, Pierre Koenig's Stahl House or Loyd Wright's Johnson House, the Hollywood Hills has no peer with its eclectic and enchanting nature.
Privacy: Besides a few main roads that navigate over the Santa Monica Mountains the roads of the Hollywood Hills are relatively private. Since the roads are quite windy and have many dead ends there is not much through traffic and offer the celebrities peace and quiet above the bustling city.
Convenience: Celebrities are either making movies or promoting movies constantly, so it makes sense that they want to live close to the studios. The Hollywood Hills makes it easy for them to do this as Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures, CBS Radford, Universal Studios, Sony Studios, Fox Studios, and ABC/Disney are just 20 minutes away for most living in the Hollywood Hills.
Don't take my word for it, just ask Leonardo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, Justin Timberlake, Charlize Theron, Will Ferrall, Lady Gaga, Lawrence Fishburne, Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, Bobby Darrin, Dr Dre, Toby Maguire, Scarlett Johansson, Delores Del Rio, Quentin Tarantino, Katherine Hepburn, or thousands of others who currently or at one point lived in the King of celebrity enclaves.
I'll leave you with this video that gives you an idea of how the celebrities are rolling in the Hollywood Hills.
